International Orders
| Medichest.com is pleased to offer
international shipping. We are one of just a few on-line health retailers that offer this service and we are proud to share our store with the World Wide Web. While the vast majority of international orders arrive at their destination with no problems whatsoever, there are several things you should know. First, Medichest does not and cannot track or manage the thousands of international import laws, rules, guidelines and limitations for the 200 plus countries we currently ship to. We urge all of our international customers to check with their local customs office or UPS Customer Service Center (www.ups.com ) prior to placing an order if there are ANY questions regarding the importation of a product, ingredient or quantity of product. Please see “What about Customs Regulations & Importation Laws?” later in this section for more information. Second, declaration of package contents and values are mandated by Customs agencies throughout the world. In accordance with these laws/rules/regulations, Medichest must and does report general package contents and fair replacement values. Any and all duties and fees imposed by the destination country are solely the customer’s responsibility. Please see "What about Customs Regulations & Importation Laws?” later in this section for more information. What is an International order? Any order where the order billing address and/or shipping destination is outside the United States. How do I pay for my international order? Will Medichest accept my credit card? Medichest will accept credit cards that carry the Discover, Visa, MasterCard or American Express logo. Medichest may require additional information/verification from the cardholder and reserves the right to request proof of card validity and/or holdership and to contact the cardholder and/or the bank associated with the credit card. Medichest also reserves the right to refuse or deny any order at its sole discretion for any and all reasons. How does Medichest ship internationally? Medichest uses UPS as its primary international carrier, but reserves the right to use additional or alternate carriers at its sole discretion. What is Medichest’s International Shipping Schedule? International shipments leave our facility on basically the same schedule as posted on our website for domestic shipments, except where there are back ordered items. In this case, we may hold shipment of the order for up to 7 business days. If the back order lasts longer than that time, we will ship the in-stock items and fill the back order at a later time. Shipping fees will be adjusted accordingly. A nominal shipping surcharge/fee applies for international back order shipments. In some cases, we may have to cancel the back order on discontinued items, or for items where shipping costs to you would be prohibitive. How long do international orders take to arrive? International Shipments generally arrive at their destination country between 4 and 6 days of shipment, depending on delivery zone and carrier. For more details on time-in-transit estimates, visit www.ups.com. Can I track my international order? Yes, you can. Where UPS is used as the international carrier, tracking is available throughout the delivery/shipping process to the final destination. USPS International Express and some other carriers offer tracking through to arrival at Customs in the destination country. You will be provided with a tracking number for your order and the name of the carrier Medichest has contracted to ship the package to the destination country. The tracking number will be provided at the time of shipment. How are international shipping fees calculated and what do they include? Shipping costs for international orders are based on overall package weight and dimensions, and an average of shipping zones. Shipping fees cover only the cost of package transportation based on weight and zone formulas, and the cost of packaging materials, and limited, basic insurance (as defined by the contracted carrier). Shipping fees do NOT include any Customs or Brokerage fees, or importation taxes, duties, tariffs, penalties, etc. These remain solely and completely the customers responsibility. By placing an international order at medichest, you agree to pay the full order & shipping amount, as well as any fees mandated by Customs or the government at the destination country. What if I select an incorrect or unavailable shipping option? Certain shipping options are unavailable to given destinations. In cases where the shipment method selected is unavailable or incorrect (ie., the selection of UPS Ground for an overseas shipment), Medichest reserves the right to adjust the shipping method and associated shipping fees in accordance with our published schedule, with no notification prior to shipping. Medichest also reserves the right to adjust shipping fees on the rare occasions where shipping costs exceed published values. Customers will be notified via email of these shipping adjustments when their order is fully processed and shipped . What about Customs Regulations & Importation Laws? Declaration of package contents and values are mandated by Customs agencies throughout the world. In accordance with these laws/rules/regulations, Medichest must and does report general package contents and fair replacement values. Customs regulations and international import guidelines and laws vary greatly throughout the world and from country to country. Medichest accepts no liability whatsoever for these laws, regulations and guidelines, nor for any fees (including but not limited to taxes, tariffs, duties, etc.) associated with them except where U.S. law obligates us to do so. Please note that should you refuse the package because of duty fees that may be associated with it, or for any other reason, you retain responsibility and hereby agree to pay the full order price, plus shipping costs for the order. If you have any questions about your ability to import a given product, ingredient or quantity of a given product, we URGE you to contact your customs agency or your local UPS Customer Service Center for information ( www.ups.com ). These agents may be able to guide you as to whether or not your destination country will allow the delivery of an item or items in your package. Medichest is NOT responsible for packages held or denied by Customs in any destination country. The customer remains responsible for the full order price plus shipping costs should any package be held or denied by Customs. Should your package be held or refused by customs for any reason at the destination country, you hereby remain responsible for the full purchase price of the order plus shipping costs. Additionally, should you refuse the package because of duty fees that may be associated with it, or for any other reason, you retain responsibility and hereby agree to pay the full order price, plus shipping costs for the order. When you submit an international order, you accept complete and sole liability and responsibility for the package and its contents once it has left the Medichest facility, or any facility with which Medichest has contracted. What if my international order is lost or damaged in shipping? Is my international order insured? Should an international Medichest.com order be lost or damaged in shipping, we will open a claim with the shipper. Medichest will replace or issue credit for the lost order or damaged item(s) once the claim has been settled. Medichest liability in cases of lost or damaged packages is limited ONLY and SOLELY to the amount of the claim paid and settled by the carrier. If a package cannot be delivered for any reason other than carrier loss or damage, to the address you provided, or should you refuse the package, you hereby agree to pay for the order in full and waive all rights of chargeback. How can I cancel my international order? International Orders may be canceled at any time prior to the order having entered the shipping process. Your request for cancellation must include your full name and the order number, and must be confirmed by a Medichest representative in writing or over the phone. If your request for order cancellation has not been confirmed by Medichest in writing (email) or via phone by an authorized representative of Medichest, the order IS NOT considered canceled and you agree to pay for the order in full. Once an international order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled, and the customer hereby agrees to pay the full amount of the order plus shipping. Can I return my international order? Because U.S, law prohibits the re-importation of many health-related products, we cannot accept returns on any international orders. Medichest reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order at its sole discretion, with no reason supplied. Attention: Customers who live in Mexico, and Spain. Due to shipping and product restrictions in Mexico and Spain, we no longer offer service to these destinations. We apologize for the inconvenience. |
