Shipping & Delivery

 

General Information

We ship quick. Most orders ship within 24-36 hours of order placement, Monday to Friday.  We will send you an email confirmation with your tracking number at the time of shipment. If you don't provide us with an accurate email address, you won't receive this message. Free Shipping orders may require an additional 3 to 7 business days once in process and delivery.

Orders generally enter the shipping process within two to four hours of placement, seven days a week. If you need to make a change to your order, please try to notify us within 2 hours . After that time, we may not be able to meet your request. Once an order has entered the shipping process, we cannot modify or cancel it.

Orders shipped via ground service (UPS Ground or Priority Mail) generally arrive at their destination between 2 and 7 business days once they leave our facilities.  Orders shipped via Free Shipping may require an additional 3 to 7 business days once in process for delivery.  Ground services and Free Shipping are not guaranteed "on-time" services, and these times are estimates only. UPS 2nd Day Air and 3 Day Select are guaranteed services and are expected to arrive on the 2nd "business" day or the 3rd "business" day, respectively, once the order has been shipped. 2 Day Air and 3 Day Select transit times include only Business Days: transit times and delivery dates do not count or include weekends or holidays.

Please note that choosing 2nd Day Air or 3 Day Select does not change how long it takes for an order to ship from our facilities. It represents only the Business Day travel time required for delivery after leaving our warehouses.

 

Free Standard Shipping

Medichest is pleased to offer free shipping on qualified orders. The qualifications are simple, and most orders are eligible. 

 

The qualifications: (or, What's included or What's eligible)

  • Product total of $75 or more

  • Package weight of less than 20lbs, and without special handling.

  • Shipped to a street address within the contiguous U.S.

  • You have selected the Free Shipping option at checkout.

  • Qualified orders meet each of these requirements.

The exclusions: (or, What's not included, what's not eligible):

  • Orders with product values of less than $75.

  • Orders that weigh more than 20lbs, or include oversize or special handling items.  (These items are clearly marked on their respective product pages.)

  • Shipments to International destinations; government addresses including APO, FPO, AA and AE locations; Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Territories and P.O. boxes.

  • Business to Business and bulk orders.

  • You have chosen a shipping method other than the Free Shipping option at checkout.

Additional Information: 

Cancelling items and/or combining orders may affect the order's eligibility for free shipping. If you request changes that effect the eligibility of your order(s), regular shipping charges will apply.

Please check your delivery address carefully. Packages that require address corrections or changes, or which cannot be delivered due to incomplete or incorrect addresses will be charged regular ground shipping fees.

You will not be charged shipping for backordered items that are part of a free shipping order. However, adding additional products to a backorder, or cancelling the backordered item(s) may effect order eligibility and require application of standard shipping fees.

Free shipping orders may require 3-5 additional business days for delivery as compared to average published times in transit for your destination. All other published shipping policies apply to free standard shipping. As with regular shipping, undeliverable and/or refused packages will result in the application of full shipping charges and any associated surcharges.

Free shipping cannot be combined with some offers, applied to previous orders, or exchanged or redeemed for cash or credit. Free shipping includes standard ground shipping only. Free shipping may be completed by UPS, the USPS or other carriers with which we contract. Published Returns policy and procedures are not affected by free shipping.
 

Oversize, overweight and special handling items are clearly marked on their respective product pages. All other products are eligible for free shipping.

Medichest reserves the right to change or cancel free shipping at any time, and without prior notice.

 

Special Requests, Hold for Shipment or Hold for Delivery

Medichest is happy to offer customers special services including extended ship dates and "hold for arrival." You can add these requests to your order directly, or by calling Medichest Customer Service at 800-714-8875 within 2 hours of order placement Monday to Friday.  Please be aware that the same cancellation and/or order change policies apply to these orders. When you make a request for delayed shipment or delivery, your items are set aside and held for you - in exactly the same time as for standard orders. Therefore, we cannot make changes or cancellations once they have reserved for you.  Delayed delivery and delayed ship request orders are billed as standard orders: once the products are reserved for you, your credit card will be billed.  Medichest does not guarantee exact delivery dates for held orders: they are shipped at the closest business day you request, and will arrive according to the timeframe of the ship method you selected. 

If you request that your package is held for delivery (for example, to a hotel, business center or delivery facility), a signature will be required at the time of delivery. Medichest will add the appropriate signature charge to your order. For more information, please read "Signature Requirements & Insured Packages" later in this section.

 

Incorrect and Incomplete Delivery Information

If you provide us with an address that is incorrect or incomplete and the carrier returns the carton to us, we can re-ship the package to a corrected address. In this case, reshipment fees will apply. If you choose to make changes to a delivery address or re-route a package once it is in transit,  the carrier will apply shipping surcharges. These will be posted by Medichest to the credit card of record for the order.

Incorrect or Invalid Shipping Methods

Please double check your billing and delivery information.  Add company names, suite numbers, apartment numbers and so on, where applicable. Carriers charge for each failed delivery attempt and for every delivery adjustment, so please work with us to ensure you receive your package quickly, conveniently, and without re-routing or re-shipment charges. 

Certain Shipping options are unavailable to given destinations. In cases where the shipment method selected is unavailable or incorrect (i.e., the selection of UPS shipping to a P.O. Box), we will correct the shipping method and adjust shipping costs accordingly.

Orders being delivered to APO, AE, AA, FPO and other government addresses must be shipped via Priority Mail and may require a signature at the time of delivery.

Orders that contain certain aerosol products cannot be shipped via UPS International or certain Air methods. In these cases, aerosol products will be shipped via Ground service. If your order contains aerosol products and non-aerosol products, we will ship these products separately. Additional shipping fees may apply.

Signature Requirements & Insured Packages

You can request a signature on any package we ship. Just add the request to the notes section of your order. Flat fees of $10.00 - $25.00 apply for Signature Required service.

Most package shipped by Medichest within the U.S. do not automatically require signatures. There are some exceptions where signatures are required for your protection:   

  • Package values exceeding $150.

  • Time-sensitive chemicals and nutritionals.

  • Certain delivery locations, such as: schools, hospitals, nursing care facilities, dormitories, hotels, conference centers, freight forwarders and other large shipping facilities.

  • Packages being delivered to apartment or office complexes where no apartment number or business name has been supplied.

  • Packages for which billing information does not exactly match your credit card AVS (Address Verification Service).

If a signature is required on your package, Medichest will add the cost to your shipping charges accordingly.

If you request that we do not require a signature on any order that might otherwise require it,  you are waiving any and all claims for loss, credit or refund,  if your package or items are lost or stolen.

Orders with a product value of $100 or less that are shipped by UPS are automatically insured for product replacement value. For any other delivery service, you can request insurance. Fees for insurance will depend on the value, shipping service and delivery location.  If your package exceeds a value of $150, Medichest may increase the automatic insurance value, and a nominal fee may apply.  Insurance values are always limited to the product replacement value of the package.

Lost or Damaged Packages

Should an order be lost or damaged in shipping, we will open a claim with the shipper, upon your request. MediChest will replace or issue credit for the lost order or damaged item(s)  once the claim has been settled.  Our liability in cases of lost or damaged packages is limited only to the amount of the claim paid and settled by the carrier.

If you have used  a Guaranteed Delivery Date Service (UPS 2nd Day or UPS 3 Day Service), and the package arrives after the scheduled delivery date, you may be eligible for a partial shipping refund. Medichest does not negotiate these claims. In this case, you should contact UPS directly at 1-800-PICK-UPS (742-5877) Domestic Services for resolution. Medichest is not liable for delays in delivery or carton arrival.

Delivery Refusal

If a package cannot be delivered for any reason other than carrier loss or damage, to the address you provided, or should you refuse the package, you remain responsible for payment of the order.
 

Backorders, or Out Of Stock Items

Occasionally, there will be a backorder on a product or products in your order. A backorder means we're waiting for the item to arrive from the supplier, and it is unavailable for immediate shipment. Although our inventory and reporting systems are excellent, they are  not perfect; and occasionally, we sell many more units of an item than we had expected, or a manufacturer may delay shipment without prior notice to us. In these cases, your order will remain intact and will be shipped the very moment the product does arrive into our facility. Our shipping time for backorders is generally 3 to 90 days.

If you place an order containing both in stock and backordered items, we'll immediately process and ship the in-stock items. We'll bill your account for these items and the shipping charge you approved when you placed your order. We will bill you for the back-ordered products only when they ship, not before, and we do not charge for the second shipment on domestic U.S. orders. 

Backordered items are shipped as they become available using the most efficient shipping method available. If you decide that you no longer want to purchase the backordered items, please notify us via Email at: sales@MediChest.com, or by telephone at: 203-854-0606 / 800-714-8875.

Manufacturers may choose to discontinue a product or products at any time without notification. In this case, your shipping fees will be adjusted according to our published schedule, and the remainder of your order shipped.
