First & Foremost, please be certain that the check mark located at the top of the Shopping Cart is indeed checked. It looks like this: Show me my shopping cart every time I order something. (leave box checked for shopping accuracy)

AOL users (9/16/06) URGENT:

It has come to our attention in recent weeks that certain websites including MediChest.com cannot be effectively navigated when using America On Line. There is a setting in the new AOL Version 9.0 and Security Edition 9.0 that requires a simple minor tweak which will allow you to connect to us, shop for your favorite Health & Beauty care products, and place your orders.

Please follow these simple nine fast steps to correct this issue: (will take less than 10 seconds)

1) Open your current AOL connection and connect to AOL

2) On your desktop or in your lower icon tray, open Internet Explorer

3) In Internet Explorer, look at the top and select "TOOLS", the select Internet Options

4) Then, click the "PRIVACY" tab, and click DEFAULT

5) Then, in the same window, click "SITES" or "WEBSITES" (will vary depending upon which version of IE you have installed)

6) Then, in the blank box type the following       http://www.medichest.com   

7) Then click the "ALLOW" box.

8) Then in the same dialog box, look at the "Pop-Up Blocker box at the bottom of that Privacy Dialog Box. Simply click "SETTINGS" and in the blank box enter *.medichest.com  (the *) is very important. Your entry should look like this:   *.medichest.com   Then simply click "ADD" then Close or OK.

9) Then click "OK", then click APPLY or OK to shut that window.

You are finished. AOL will now connect to www.medichest.com and you may make your purchases.

If you find there are other websites that you cannot navigate or purchase from , simply follow the same steps for each of these other websites and always add the name of that website, by typing the * first, then the website name, and click allow. (example *xyz.com)

Although we do not use "pop-up" ads on our website, several versions of AOL misread our shopping cart as a pop-up advertisement, which results in a failure to connect. These simple and fast steps will correct this issue.

If you are having problems placing orders at MediChest, please be aware of several significant issues that can be negatively affecting your computer on our website. If you are selecting the products you wish to buy and finding that your shopping cart is empty, your "security" & "privacy" settings may be set too high. 

Please note: Recent security patches sent by various web browser systems have automatically re-set user's browser and cookie settings to HIGH. A one-time manual change to Medium is necessary to operate on our website as well as many other websites.

To adjust these settings, simply do the following:

1)  Select "Settings" or "Tools" (depending upon which browser type you use) located at the top/center of your internet screen. 2) Select "Preferences" from the Internet Options Tab, or Internet Options.  3) Select the "Security" tab/button, 5) Select "Default Level" (medium), 6) Select "Apply" 7) Select "OK"  You will now be able to completely navigate and purchase at MediChest .

2) If your "cookies" permission is turned off, you may experience problems when attempting to purchase. We do not use cookies, but our system insists that you allow us to bake them anyway. To turn cookies "on", simply go to your browser's "Internet Settings" area again, look for "cookies", or "Privacy" and be certain you select "turn-on". For some browsers, this feature is easily located in the "settings" window, and in other browsers, the fields for cookies are located in the "privacy" section of "Internet Options." Here too, please be certain to have your setting at the default level of Medium, NOT High.

 If you are still having technical difficulty using our website and you are in an office that uses a protective Firewall, you must notify your Network Administrator of the problem. Ask the Network Administrator to allow your computer to reach our website; as well as other websites. There are many instances where Firewall settings may be set too high and this will prevent you from reaching our website. It is quite possible that the Firewall settings in your office are not adjustable. If this is the case, please place your order from home. More than likely, you are not using a Firewall system at home.  

If you have upgraded your browser software and you are in an office that has a protective Firewall that has been adjusted and you still cannot properly use our website, please email us at: orders@medichest.com and advise us of the specific nature of the problem as well as the items you are trying to purchase. Please include the actual item number of the items you wish to buy. We will contact you via email as soon as we have determined the nature of the problem.
